10 Years ago I watched as the New York City skyline changed forever. My family lost our priest in the tragedy and my friend lost his entire company. He still is in the process of recovery.
Yesterday was a day to reflect and remember, I grew up in the NYC metro area my whole life. And yes I have never seen the city so together in the months and years afterward. Its a different air. Watching week after week as all the local channels turned over to 24 hour news coverage looking for survivors. I went to Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie concert that December after - it was normalcy - Ozzy got a cross made up of steel from the tower.
In February 2002 I went to my very first Westminster dog show. Glenn Close sang God Bless America, all the service dogs were honored. Not a dry eye in the house.
The Freedon Tower is beautiful. The Memorial is perfect. Rebuild and Reflect.
